Inspired by The House of Bernarda Alba, The House That Will Not Stand is set in New Orleans, 1836. The story follows the Albans family of freed black women in the wake of the death of their white patriarch. This surreal ghost story explores freedom, motherhood, sisterhood, and is overall steeped in the ghost of slavery.
